Hypotheses 1–4 were tested using t-test while hypothesis 5 was tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 level of significance. Findings among others revealed that students taught English Language using discussion technique performed better than those taught using conventional method. More so, the performance of students taught English Language using penpals technique and conventional method is the same in the test administered on them.
